Shaw Waste – Terms & Conditions
Last updated: November 2025
All bookings made with Shaw Waste are subject to the following terms and conditions. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
About Us
Shaw Waste provides waste collection, man and van services, skip brokering, house and rubbish clearance, end of tenancy cleans and grab hire across the UK. We work with trusted local partners to deliver a reliable and professional waste management service.
Our Services
- Skip Hire & Brokering
Shaw Waste acts as a waste broker, arranging skips and grab hire through approved third-party providers. While we only work with licensed operators, all skip and grab hire services are ultimately carried out by those third parties under their own terms of hire. Shaw Waste does not own or operate the skips or vehicles provided by our partners.
- Man & Van Collections
Our man and van teams can collect general waste, bulky items, or garden waste from your property.
You must ensure clear and safe access for our team and that all waste is ready for collection.
- House & Rubbish Clearance
We offer full or partial house clearances, including removal of household items, furniture, and general waste. Please ensure any items to be removed are clearly identified and accessible on the day of collection.
- End of Tenancy Cleans
Our end of tenancy cleaning and clearance service is designed for tenants, landlords, and letting agents. We will remove any remaining waste and, if requested, carry out cleaning to prepare the property for its next occupants.
- Grab Hire
Grab hire services are available for larger or heavier waste loads, including soil, hardcore, and construction debris. Please ensure access routes are suitable for heavy vehicles. If access is restricted or unsafe, additional charges may apply.
Damage & Access
We take great care when collecting waste, but we cannot accept liability for damage to driveways, ground surfaces, walls, gates, or other property caused by the weight or movement of vehicles or skips. Please let us know in advance if access is tight, or if any surfaces may be at risk, so we can plan accordingly.
You are responsible for providing a safe working area and ensuring that any skips or waste placed for collection are located on suitable ground.
Insurance
Shaw Waste holds Public Liability Insurance covering all our operations. Our partner skip and grab hire providers also maintain appropriate insurance in line with waste industry standards.
Payments
All prices are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment must be made at the time of booking unless an account has been set up in advance.
If, upon collection, the waste volume, type, or access conditions differ from what was quoted, we reserve the right to amend the price accordingly.
Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans change, and we aim to be flexible.
If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled collection or delivery:
A £50 cancellation fee will apply, and the remainder of your payment will be refunded.
If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance:
You will receive a full refund.
What We Can’t Collect
For safety and environmental reasons, we cannot remove or transport hazardous waste such as:
asbestos, chemicals, fuel, oils, solvents, gas bottles, or clinical waste. If unsure, please contact us before booking.
Liability
Shaw Waste will not be liable for:
- Any indirect or consequential loss (e.g. loss of income, profit, or business).
- Damage to property caused by vehicle movement, weight, or ground conditions.
- Delays due to traffic, weather, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.
Our total liability in any case will not exceed the value of the service provided.
Your Responsibilities
You confirm that you have the authority to request waste collection or hire services from the premises in question. You agree to provide accurate information and ensure that access is safe for our team or delivery partners.
Data Protection
We respect your privacy. Your personal information will only be used to provide our services and will never be shared with third parties except those directly involved in fulfilling your booking (such as licensed waste carriers).
By completing the contact form on our website and ticking the GDPR consent box, you agree to your details being stored securely within our system. This allows us to access and review your enquiry so that we can respond appropriately. Your information will only be used for this purpose and handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
